Positioning cushions form a series of positioning cushions that provide many flexible solutions. Each cushion can be used to solve different positioning problems depending on individual needs.
The cushions are produced in collaboration with specialist neurology and dementia departments. Thanks to the quality of the material, each cushion is able to keep its shape, providing stability as well as a large support surface and pressure distribution.
Positioning cushions are designed exclusively for positioning patients in the following patient groups:
bariatric, dementia, geriatric, neurology, palliation and chronic pain patients.
Used for example in care centres, institutions, hospices and private homes.

Application
Positioning cushions help to solve a variety of positioning problems, meeting the specific needs of each patient. All cushions have been developed in collaboration with specialised departments in the field of dementia and neurology.
Each pillow is suitable for the following patient groups: bariatric, dementia, geriatric, neurology, palliation and chronic pain patients. These patient groups share a high risk of tissue damage and pressure ulcers.
Advice on the best positioning
Cavity stability and filling are very important for optimal positioning. Stability and cavity filling distribute the pressure over as wide an area as possible. This allows the user to remain in the desired, natural position without creating any resistance in the joints, nerve and/or muscle tissue.
Design
When designing the Cobi positioning pillows, we focused on positioning the pillows tightly and close to the user's body.
The cushions have a certain weight which helps them to stay in place and provide both stability and support.
The cushions are filled with 3 mm beads, viscoelastic foam, cold-cured foam and thermoplastic elastomer styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene-styrene pellets. The placement and content are tailored to each individual cushion.
There are two types of cover: a hygienic cover and a knitted cover. Both covers are breathable, washable, antibacterial and flexible.
Soothing effect
In addition to relieving pressure and increasing pressure distribution, pillows are particularly suitable for relieving spasticity and providing tactile stimulation, which is recommended for example in cases of dementia.
Being surrounded and cocooned by pillows gives the feeling of being enclosed in a cocoon, which is often soothing and increases comfort.
