SEALING FILMS

Sealing film can be easily used for quick sealing of both deep well plate and microplate with raised rim. There are mainly three kinds of sealing film, i.e., pressure-sensitive, heat-sensitive sealing, and adhesive film. Pressure-sensitive and adhesive sealing films can be directly used against the plate, whereas thermal sensitive films are used with a thermal plate sealer.
The advantages of using sealing film are easy, quick, and economic, compared with silicone sealing mats. The disadvantages are sealing security, temperature withstanding, and possible contamination of adhesive with the sample, which can bring unexpected impact on precious assay.
